Return & Refund Policy

YinzMart.com is an online marketplace that connects buyers with independent vendors based in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. Because each product on YinzMart is sold by an individual vendor, return and refund policies are managed by the respective vendor who fulfilled your order.
General Return Guidelines
While specific terms may vary by vendor, the following general guidelines apply to all purchases made through YinzMart:
- Most vendors accept returns within 30 days of delivery, unless otherwise stated on the product listing.
- Items must be returned in their original condition — unused, unworn, and in original packaging — unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
- Certain items such as perishable goods, personalized or custom-made products, and digital downloads may not be eligible for return. These exceptions will be noted on the product listing.
How to Request a Return or Refund
To initiate a return or request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Log in to your YinzMart account and navigate to your order history.
- Step 2: Select the order containing the item you wish to return and click “Request Return” or contact the vendor directly through the messaging system.
- Step 3: The vendor will respond with return instructions, including the return shipping address and any specific requirements.
- Step 4: Ship the item back according to the vendor’s instructions. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
Refund Processing
Once the vendor receives and inspects the returned item, they will process your refund. Please note:
- Refunds are typically issued within 5–10 business days after the vendor receives the returned item.
- Refunds will be credited to your original payment method.
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
- Shipping costs are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to a vendor error or a defective/damaged item.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or materially different from what was described in the listing, please contact the vendor within 7 days of delivery. In these cases:
- The vendor is expected to offer a full refund or replacement at no additional cost to you.
- You may be asked to provide photos of the damaged or defective item to help resolve the issue.
Exchanges
Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis by individual vendors. If you would like to exchange an item, please contact the vendor directly through your YinzMart account to discuss available options.
Vendor-Specific Policies
Individual vendors on YinzMart may have their own return and refund terms that supplement or differ from the general guidelines above. Vendor-specific policies, when applicable, will be displayed on the product listing page. We encourage you to review these before making a purchase.
YinzMart’s Role
As a marketplace platform, YinzMart facilitates transactions between buyers and vendors. While we do not directly process returns or refunds, we are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent shopping experience. If you are unable to resolve a return or refund issue directly with a vendor, please contact our support team and we will do our best to assist you.
