Greater Pittsburgh
Marinas & Boat Access.

Find a place to dock, launch or rent a boat around our rivers and lakes.

Plan a local escape.

Start with 12 places across all nine counties. This is a growing selection, not a complete inventory. Independent operators and public recreation areas are included.

A marina, public launch and whitewater access point serve different needs. Check permissions, river or lake conditions, vessel restrictions and seasonal operations directly before traveling.

⚓ Pins mark approximate destinations, not exact campsite or launch entrances. Follow official arrival directions.

Before you go

Does a listing mean I can launch for free?

No. Public and private access rules differ. Use the official source to check registration, launch permits, fees, parking and permission. Marina dockage requires separate arrangements.

Are rentals always available?

No. Rental providers and mooring services may be seasonal, weather-dependent or fully booked. Contact the operator for your dates and equipment needs.

Are the whitewater locations suitable for beginners?

Do not treat whitewater access as a beginner recommendation. Follow park guidance, current water conditions and equipment requirements; use a qualified outfitter when appropriate.

Does the map show the exact boat ramp?

Park pins show general visitor destinations. Use official launch maps and arrival instructions to find the right ramp, parking and take-out. This directory is not a navigation chart.
