Using this guide

What should I do in an emergency?

Call 911 for an emergency requiring police, fire or an ambulance. Be ready to give your location and describe what is happening. Follow the dispatcher’s instructions.

Can I request emergency help through YinzMart?

No. YinzMart does not dispatch responders or monitor emergency requests. Never use our suggestion form, email or listing links to report an emergency.

Are fire and police stations always staffed for walk-ins?

Do not assume someone will be available at a station. Crews may be responding elsewhere, and some stations rely on volunteers. Use the agency’s official contact information for routine business; call 911 for emergencies.

Does the closest police station serve my address?

Not necessarily. Municipal and state police coverage varies. Map pins show physical locations, not jurisdiction boundaries. Follow the official agency’s guidance for non-emergency reports.

Are all hospitals and clinics included?

No. This starter directory includes selected hospitals with officially listed emergency departments. Urgent care and routine clinics are different services and are not presented as emergency departments here.

Does the map show the emergency entrance or current wait times?

No. Pins use facility addresses and may not mark an emergency entrance. Follow official hospital directions and on-site signs. We do not show live wait times, capacity, diversion status or staffing.

Is this medical advice?

No. YinzMart provides directory information, not medical advice or a recommendation about which facility is appropriate for a particular condition.

Can I suggest a missing station or correction?

Yes. Use the suggestion link for directory updates only and include an official source. Do not include patient information or use it to request emergency help. Submissions are reviewed before changes are made.

About this YinzMart guide

This guide brings together public agency and hospital information for reference. Police jurisdiction and emergency entrances are not inferred from map distance. Call 911 for emergency help.
