Baum Boulevard – known as Pittsburgh’s “Automobile Row” is part of the Lincoln Highway, America’s first transcontinental highway linking New York’s Times Square to San Francisco’s Lincoln Park. In the 1900’s Baum Blvd was *the* place to buy a car, and housed a Ford Motor Company assembly plant in 1915. Typical of most yinzer’s, we weren’t quite sure if it was “Baum” or “Balm” until we checked the street sign so there you have it.
